Areas of psychological help

In what situation can I help you?

The areas I work with most often. Expand a category to see the details.

The area of mental and personality disorders that cause suffering and make everyday functioning difficult. They affect the perception of reality and of oneself, cause emotional arousal or flattening and change everyday activity. Most often they involve lowered or elevated mood, mania, psychosis or delusions. Personality disorders are patterns of behaviour that can be worked on and adjusted toward healthier functioning.

Areas
Bipolar disorder Depression Seasonal depression Borderline personality Narcissistic personality Schizophrenia / psychosis / delusions

The area of acute, temporary changes that disturb a stable mental balance and cause psychological suffering. A crisis arises when a situation exceeds one’s capacities and existing coping strategies. A prolonged crisis may lead to disorders and mental illness. We can distinguish situational, developmental, existential and environmental crises.

Areas
Cancer diagnosis Emigration Midlife crisis Suicidal thoughts Defining identity Divorce / separation Loneliness Old age Difficulty finding a partner Loss of meaning in life Grief

The area of psychological injury caused by a sudden and violent experience that threatens a person’s life or health and introduces unexpected change. The consequence of trauma is difficulty in returning to previous functioning and in reorganising life.

Areas
Experience of violence (physical, psychological, economic) Sexual abuse Assault Suicide attempt Birth trauma Accident (car, plane) Death of a child

The area focusing on difficulties connected with the parental role or pregnancy. It is often related to stress, social pressure or relational difficulties. It may lead to mental health disorders such as postnatal depression or trauma.

Areas
Adjusting to the parental role Parental burnout Parenting difficulties Parent–child conflicts Adolescent rebellion and growing up Divorce and reorganising family life Supporting a child through parental separation Difficulties related to infertility Pregnancy loss A child leaving home (empty nest syndrome) Intergenerational conflicts Balancing work and family life

The area of difficulties that may appear in a romantic relationship (partnership or marriage) and cause psychological suffering. The work may involve one person from the relationship or both partners.

Areas
Arguments Sexual problems Problems with closeness / attachment Divorce Communication difficulties in a relationship Infidelity

The area related to a persistent compulsion and the inability to stop using a substance or performing a particular activity. Addiction can concern anything over which control is lost.

Areas
Behavioural addictions Workaholism Co-dependency Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACoA) Addiction prevention

The area covering development, growing up and raising a child up to the age of 18. It may involve separation anxiety, a difficult adolescence, social difficulties, conflict between parents or carers, and also depression. The problem may concern the child or the whole family.

Areas
Adjustment difficulties Support around parental separation Mental health disorders in children (e.g. depression)

The area concerning every person’s natural need for growth and change. No crisis or traumatic situation has to occur for someone to want to work on themselves or increase their self-awareness. Personal development includes both working on difficulties and developing a person’s resources and strengths.

Areas
Assertiveness Communication Psychological resilience Self-confidence Working with the body Working with emotions Working with stress Money mindset Professional burnout Career counselling

The area covering professional difficulties that hinder functioning. It includes challenges such as burnout or workaholism, as well as the development of personal competencies.

My approach

How I work

Integratively. I combine different approaches.

Transactional analysis

Transactional Analysis (TA) is a psychological approach created by Eric Berne, focused on understanding how people think, feel and communicate with others.

The work draws on knowledge of ego states (Parent, Adult, Child), life scripts and relational patterns shaped throughout life. This makes it possible to recognise unconscious patterns that influence decisions, interpersonal relationships and wellbeing.

The aim of the work is to develop autonomy, awareness and the capacity to make more conscious and satisfying choices.

Transactional analysis

„Helps you understand why you react in a certain way, repeat the same patterns and experience similar difficulties in relationships.”

Gestalt

„Helps you recognise your own emotions and needs and build greater satisfaction in life and relationships.”

Process work

„Supports moving consciously through change and building greater inner coherence.”

I look for answers to your questions:

Knowledge and inspiration

Reflections and tools that will help you understand yourself better.

Every lasting change begins with understanding.

That is why I created a place where you will find psychological knowledge, practical guidance and inspiration that help you cope with the challenges of everyday life.

I write about emotions, relationships, stress, personal development, professional burnout and building greater self-awareness. If you are looking for sound psychological knowledge presented in an accessible way, you are in the right place.

FAQ

Questions I often hear

Yes. Psychological support is not only for people in crisis. Many people come because they want to understand themselves better, improve their relationships, increase their confidence or consciously develop their potential.

You do not need to know before the first meeting. During the consultation we will look together at your needs and determine which form of support will be most beneficial in your situation.

I work with people experiencing, among others, stress, overload, relationship difficulties, low mood, life and professional crises, low self-esteem, communication problems and challenges related to personal and professional development.

The first consultation serves to understand your situation, needs and expectations. It is a space to talk about what is important to you and to agree together on possible directions for further work.

It depends on the goal and the nature of the difficulty. Some people find a few consultations sufficient, while others choose longer developmental or therapeutic work. I always adjust the pace to the client’s individual needs.

Yes. I hold meetings both in person in Poznań and online. The work is equally professional and effective, and the choice depends on your preferences and possibilities.

In my work I combine different psychological approaches, which allows me to adapt flexibly to the client’s needs. I help people better understand their own patterns, develop awareness of emotions and needs, and use emerging challenges as an opportunity for growth and change.

Coaching suits people who want to achieve a specific goal, develop competencies, act more effectively or make an important life or professional change. It focuses on the future, on possibilities and on implementing solutions.

Yes. Meetings are held in accordance with the principles of confidentiality and the ethical standards of psychological practice.

Clients most often mention greater self-awareness, a better understanding of their emotions and needs, improved relationships, more confidence, more effective coping with stress and a greater sense of influence over their own life.

If you have felt for some time that something in your life needs to change, are experiencing difficulties or simply want to understand yourself better, you do not have to wait until the problem grows. Often just a few meetings allow you to see the situation from a new perspective and regain a sense of influence over your life.
